The 50km++ you just ran is the same course I take when I train for a race. I brought some friends to try it out (Gwapo Ariel and Maharot Ronnel Go), and they were the ones who convinced me to organize a race. Sometime in August 2013, the concept of the DBB Challenge:Rockstar Solo was born.
I decided to organize the DBB Challenge because I want to share my experience with you. It wasn’t really a race that I had in mind but a supplement to your training and preparation for the major races ahead. Hence the 50++km (around 58km) of road and trail, combined with challenges in the terrain, and then some more.
I would like to thank Ariel Tuto Aquino, Ronnel Go, Dianne Palogan, Lao Ogerio, Fifi Runas, the volunteer marshals and staff that helped make the DBB Challenge happen. They worked really hard, especially on race day. Thank you to Ms. Cris and Mr. Leo of Berghaus for supporting the race and providing the prizes for our top runners. Thank you to Dap-ayan, for accommodating us.
